The name of the kennel, Cimbasso
Might be familiar to musicians, especially those who know about musical instruments. While I currently work primarily as a conductor, in the past, I used to play instruments more frequently. Specifically, I played the tuba and trombone. To me, the ultimate instrument is the cimbasso, which combines the best of both tuba and trombone. Due to my deep passion for these two instruments, I chose the name Cimbasso for my kennel, symbolizing the union of my two greatest loves. The kennel name was established in 1995.
I bought my first Shiba in 2021 and, after such a short time, I wouldn't claim to be an expert. However, I've completely fallen in love with this magnificent breed, and I'm incredibly happy that I chose a Shiba when I decided to have dogs again!
Kennel Cimbasso was established back in 1995. My first Newfoundland dog was three years old when I had my very first litter. Though I didn't have many litters afterward, I continued with the breed until 2015. By that time, I had a total of 7 Newfoundland dogs, along with a Clumber Spaniel, St. Bernard, and a Polish Owczarek Nizinni. Between 2015 and 2021, I took a break and had no dogs. Eventually, I missed having dogs so much that I decided to start again, and luckily, I chose a Shiba.
The Shiba is a primitive dog that is highly intelligent, independent, proud, and at times, very stubborn. Patience and rewards are essential when working with Shiba, and as a bonus, you get a dog with an enormous personality that, in my opinion, no other breed can compete with. Moreover, the Shiba has incredible endurance, making hiking trips with them an absolute joy!
